I have always been obsessed with home decor, and got into it when I finally had enough income to indulge back in 2014. I was on the fence about starting a blog or an instgram account, but slowly started posting home focused content on my instagram in 2019. After some positive feedback and extra time during the COVID-19 quarantine in 2020, I finally converted my personal instagram to @homewithhil, focused fully on home decor, home renovations, and home DIY! At the time, I knew I needed a creative outlet in my life and was always answering questions about our most recent renovations. So I thought, why not start a blog?

Speaking of our renovations, we recently moved into our first house in a small town in Northeast Ohio. It’s a century home, so it was in… interesting shape… but we love the land and saw potential for something beautiful! The focus of this blog will be our renovations, step by step DIY projects, all of my home shopping, and more!
